Welcome to the new home of the BBW Romance Writers Yahoo Group. Our group was formed several years ago with a primary mandate to support and encourage writers who incorporated BBW and BHM (That's Big Beautiful Women and Big Handsome Men for the uninitiated) in their writing.

Our members come from all walks of life, all ages and backgrounds, and include both men and women. Some of our members are successful multi-published writers, and others just dabble...and there's everything in between. It doesn't matter. We all share the same vision.

A few years ago, we embarked on our first collaborative effort, an anthology of contemporary romance short stories. It became Love At Large, and was published by Draumr Publishing (www.draumrpublishing.com ) Encouraged by the success of this first book, a couple of years later, we wrote another--Leading Ladies--also published by Draumr, this one putting a modern twist on fairy tales.

It took us about five years after Leading Ladies was published to finish a third anthology, this time a paranormal romance collection. We're thrilled to announce that Mundania Press has picked it up and it will be released in 2012-2013. There are five stories by five talented authors. Each story will be released in ebook form on its own, and then, after all the stories have had their month in the sun, the stories will be compiled into a collection in print and ebook form with the addition of an extra surprise.

Ghosts abound in this new collection of romantic tales from the BBW Romance Writers group.

Haunted tells the story of Mia Danvers, a full-figured clothing store clerk with a mean right-hook who's putting her life back together after years with an abusive boyfriend.

The Art of Falling in Love tells the story of Art restorer Julie Ramsay who is conflicted about her feelings for widowed co-worker Darius; that is, until she gets advice from Imogene and Herbert, her new friends. The trouble is they’re figures in an 18th C. painting she is restoring—a painting with a haunted past.

Love by Proxy features artist Gwen who can see ghosts. In fact, her best friend Rose is one, a saloon girl killed by a stray bullet one hundred and fifty years ago. Gwen fears that her strange ability will keep her from ever finding true love. Rose thinks otherwise. And when Evan Thorpe, a developer planning on building a huge subdivision behind Gwen’s home comes to town, Rose sets out to push these two together.

Transitions takes us on a journey through time. In modern day Birmingham, a group of students become embroiled in a love story almost 2,000 years old as the ghost of a Roman officer tries to reclaim his lost love.
